I'm really thinking about this, I just need to know if it can be switched to a mac when I change computers?

I'm not to sure completely. But I have the student edition of lightroom 2 and it seems just like the regular. There is nothing I could not do in it.

The student editions are usually the same in terms of features, but differ in that they have a different user license agreement. You usually cannot use student edition software for commercial purposes. You also must provide proper ID or other evidence of being a student.

Being 16 and in High School has its perks. :D
But I sent a scanned version of my ID to Academic Superstore when I purchased Adobe Lightroom.

Also, please be aware -- you are authorized to purchase only one copy of any of the 4 Adobe Student Edition Titles per year, regardless of platform.

You don't have to prove eligibility to Amazon. You have to prove it to Adobe to install.
