Kayak "Portraits"

Hi,

A good friend wanted some portaits for his Mums birthday. and being an outdoor instructor we thought some shots of him in one of his boats would be a good idea.

The actual portrait shots I've posted over in the people forum (https://photography-on-the.net …php?p=6481593#p​ost6481593) but thought this one would get better reception / opinions here.

Thoughts ?

Note: That jpeg artifcating around the lines on this helmet isn't noticeable in the RAW / prints.

I did take more action shots at the time but haven't processed them yet as this was done in time for the birthday.

I like this one alot. Just seems a bit too dark on the left side. Not sure if that was your intention in editing or not.

It's a lot of dark blue/black lake apart from him and his boat. Although on my screen here I can see a few water splashes in that area.
