M8 Lagoon and M20 Trifid Nebulae sound good to me.

Great choices.

To clarify, are both objects to appear in the same frame or as individuals?

Steve,

Either way I think is fine. They both carry enough to stand on their own or as a widefield image. I think it would be great to see how people go about it. I was going to give it a shot this weekend but it seems pending surgery may put the kabosh on that. I'll have to wait and see. Good luck to everyone !!

Thanks Bob, congrats on your win in challenge #3 BTW. That's a fantastic image.

I hope your surgery goes well. I'm having a procedure this week as well but I'm hoping to be out shooting soon, if the weather can cut me a break.

Would you like me to start the Challenge #4 thread?

Steve

Steve,

Yeah if you wouldn't mind. They thought I at first had a stroke but it seems I have several herniated discs in my neck from an accident at work back in March of which 1 is pressing on my spinal column. NOT FUN. I'm opting for physical therapy at first to see what that can do before I go under.

That's awful Bob. I can't imagine the pain. I herniated a disc in my lower back a couple years ago and the pain was extremely severe. I'd say a 12 on a 1-10 scale, so yours must be unbearable. Best wishes on your therapy, I really hope it's the solution for you.

No problem, I'll start the thread for Challenge #4.

Sorry to hear you are in a bad way, Bob. Hope the physio eases the pain.

My wife has also had disc problems, so while I haven't felt the pain I certainly have seen how debilitating it is.
