It was a sad day when they retired the F-14, it will be no less painful when the strike eagle is laid to rest...

Sadly like many top planes. I wont see it flying

amazing
have you always been able to fly?

Only when my wife gets angry

these are taken stood on the side of a mountain... there are certain places in the UK where the Military are allowed to fly 250ft from the ground - the US airforce usually fly at around 500ft in the F15's

in 6 years of climbing these hills and mountains I have only seen F15's 5 times out of about 200 visits
this time I got really lucky getting 3 of them giving a total of 7 passes real close to where I located myself:D

on the downside its a 350 mile round trip, wed I sat there for 7 hours in pouring rain and saw zero aircraft
the day after again in rain and bad light saw 5 trainer Jets and a chopper
friday saw the said 3 F15's show up which was superb (as you can see)

thanks for your positive comments it makes all the effort getting them worth it
regards Chris

Incredible shots Chris as always, cannot really find fault in any of them, simply superb !

Is there anywhere more local to us that it's possible to see lowflying Jets ?

Alan.
