Gipetto, your work here encouraged me!

I'd heard a rumor last year about some foxes about 7 hours from here, and that they were able to be seen and approached in the spring. So this weekend I drove there and spent 2 1/2 days attempting to find them and photograph them.

I was somewhat successful, although they were not the easiest things to work with. As you mention, they seem to show up after sunset, when there isn't much light to work with. Also, they continually more about, never sitting or standing still for more than a second or two at a time.

I'll be posting some images of them once I download all 1000 photos and figure out which ones are the best ones.

Thanks again for posting these - it helped trigger my memory about last year's rumor, which paid off!

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Sweet!

I'll be doing a 'day 2' post here soon as they were back this past Saturday morning and I got some more keepers.

they're lovely photos. Here in Australia we have urban foxes too but we never get to see them looking so relaxed as yours. Foxes are not native to Australia and are considered a pest, although I think they're beautiful creatures. The ones I see here are scrawny mangy looking, not with the luscious coats yours have.
That's awful that they took off with a cat though! someone's going to be missing their pet :(

What cute kits. Lets hope that they aren't getting too used to being urban.

Wonderful series! I'd LOVE to get a shot of a fox. Quit lurking and start posting more! You do a great job!
And it isn't the equipment you have, it's what you do with it. :)
