newton: I don't know where you can get a Pro1 for $150 or so. I paid $750 for mine and Amazon is selling them right now new for about $900. I also have a Canon XSi, but still use my Pro1 most of the time. The "L" glass is a plus and the pictures come out better than needle sharp. Like other post have said it does have that dreaded shutter lag and low ISO ratings. However, the built in flash shots are far better than any camera I have used and that includes film cameras I've used for more then 60 years.
Just a suggestion, I wouldn't buy a point and shoot camera used. You may need that one year warrenty.
Amazon is not the best place to determine resale values...it's a joke on A LOT of items, absolutely stupid prices on some things and this is a perfect example. If someone is paying $900 bucks for a Pro1 then they must have to much money to spend and are just to lazy to look elsewhere
There's one HERE for sale by a member for less than $200 bucks. And there are others listed in the for sale area as well...and on E-bay, and Craigslist, FM forums, etc, etc...
