Found a coupon code which knocks 50% off the price of one of these high quality screen protectors (external link). Coupon Code: memday09

Expires: May 27
Tax in CA, UT

Got mine for the 5D MarkII for $6 and $2 shipping (canada). They take paypal also. :-) I've been dying for one of these. I tried the eyepiece extender so that I'd get less skin oil smudges on my screen, but it reduced the viewfinder size drastically and still gave me smudge issues regardless. This will at the very least protect my screen for the long haul of my camera ownership.

Thanks. Ijust ordered them for both cameras. I never liked the way the 5DMkII screen smudges so bad from my nose. The anti-glare finish made it much worse.

Yeah, I have one (two actually) on my 40D. It came with a protector for the top and back screens. Overall I've been happy with it, although I don't think it's as tough as they advertise by a long shot, and is more "rubbery" than I was expecting. The ones on the 40D are holding up quite well, but the one on my Blackberry Pearl isn't doing as well. Large flat surfaces (like LCD's) seem to be well protected, but curves and contours it has a bit of a problem sticking to after a while on something like a mobile phone that's in and out of pockets and such all the time. Catch an edge just right and it peels away and won't stick back. I'll be surprised if it lasts on my BlackBerry another 6 months without looking horrible.... although I guess that means it's doing its job and protecting the phone from scrapes and scratches.

The one on the back of my 40D seems to have a greenish "shimmer" to it when in the sunlight that is a bit odd as well. Doesn't bug me, but I can see where it would annoy some people.

BTW, it doesn't help with smudges at all.

If you apply the code on one item, then add more items to your cart, make sure you apply the coupon AGAIN. For some reason it applied 30% rather than 50% off, until I re-entered the code at checkout.

you have to do a simple mod to take the magnifier inside the extender

Let me tell you how good this is - I am in Australia; fortunately I have a USA credit card and mailing address.

My USA order for seven shields came to $55.86 with shipping; a discount of $43.83.

The same order in Australia converted to US dollars is $141.00!

Can you imagine; what is normally $13US without the discount coupon is $20US in Australia for a piece of plastic film! Are they going to tell me that it costs $7/per piece of plastic to ship it from the USA to Australia? Give me a break!!

Give me a break.

Nothing to be upset about; I am buying in the USA. I will share with you my emails with the President of Zagg on a later date.
