I dont do alot of this stuff. The little bit I have dabbled with it in photoshop, I have used 1 large image as base image and transformed/resize others and staggered them on base image. You might want to "stroke " the smaller images with color edge, nothing fancy required.

Like I say I don't do alot of this, but I find it interesting.

Good Luck

I haven't done any of the coffe table style albums yet - my clients still order the traditional bound matted albums - but I'll add to one of the things freebird said.

If you're going this route, you need to set off the smaller images a bit from the larger one. You can either add white/black boundaries for a pseudo framed effect, or add a drop shadow to have them float a bit above the larger image. These are ok, but they sort of look just pasted on top of each other. Too bad the groom didn't have his fly totally zipped ;). - Stu

That's an improvement k9, although I would consider adding some sort of "background" photo, screened lighter, instead of having an all white page.

I agree with sapearl about the need for a base image as opposed to all white.

Also, as a separate matter, the empty shirt button hole on the putting on the ring shot looks untidy and distracting to me, could you photoshop a button into the hole or clone it out?

Thanks everybody for the advice. I'm going to see if I can build up a couple of template's with some sort of frame(s) this weekend. Thanks again.

while i understand that your very 1st line in your 1st post, I'm the type that believes that if you are going to do it, do it right, that is, next time, if you're shooting static display, especially when it comes to silverware and glassware, take some time to clean it beforehand.

the other thing, do a search for albums on the forum, some members have shared their albums and you can get some ideas from there. the few that you've posted all have the same style to it, 2 images overlapping one another, 1 with 3 images.

One photo out of focus is a mistake, ten photo out of focus are an experimentation, one hundred photo out of focus are a style

It's for real. I agree I don't care much for them either.
Here comes the "but" part. "Its a paying customer"

I think that framing some of the overlapping pictures would help define them and make them pop some. I would also go more simple with the backgrounds.
