Yeah I dont either.

Pete, the mod, just told me not to publically out him. So I dont really know what else I could do.

Can you imagine the feedback they would leave you?
Within 2 days you called how many times? And you started a thread against them?
Hell to be honest I just may have mailed your lenses back too.

Agreed, but not after you said you were sending the agreed upon merchandise. And if you're going to send the stuff back, you should cover the seller's initial shipping expense.

I will only trade within driving distance ( a 1 state circle around mine ) just in case I need to deliver a good ole country ass woopin.
He would have to pay me for shipping and lens rental.

Well I'd love to out him, but a mod contacted me a couple days ago about 'lynching' other people on the forums. So I'll wait to hear what he says.

They said we could not know. It is not appropriate to tell the persons name.

Wow, this story stinks. Seems this guy has scammed many people on a few different forums... Good that he is now banned from here.

You know what, that is total BS, and it should be changed. Why would the powers that be allow a ass like this to even troll the forum?

This guy has been banned from POTN, so no need for concern from this scammer.

Even though this guy has been banned, we do not allow bad feedback or lynchings here.

As has been stated many time, there can (and mostly are) perfectly genuine reasons for why some deals don't go as quickly as the least patient party would like.

Is we allowed negative feedback and public naming of members who (at first sniff) appear to be scammers, then pre-emptive naming and shaming could very well damage the reputation of perfectly genuine members here.

"You have your lenses and they are in the same condition right? So be happy."

if some stranger stole my car for the weekend, i'm still going to get the police involved, even if the thief brings it back for some odd reason a couple of days later.

I agree. I hadn't noticed this thread until today and before I got several pages in I had a feeling it was the same guy I had a problem with on FM. Sure enough, it is. Very shady and makes a lot of unfilled promises just to stall. I never got the QR plate for the tripod I bought from him, but I'm at least lucky I got the item. There are quite a few links out there that pretty much out him as a scammer. Other people I talked to who bought from him around the same time all had similar stories of either having their money returned (after several e-mails/calls) or never received the item. I wish POTN would adopt a similar feedback system like FM's. He does go by a different name on this forum, but thankfully he's been banned.
