Canadian Air Show Photos

Thought I'd share a couple of photos from an air show here in Canada. One of our CF-18's is painted to celebrate the 100th anniversary of powered flight in Canada.

Nice series, I think the first one is very cool!

Wow, great shots! I think #2 is THE shot, but I really like the sky behind the formation in the last one. Good stuff.

Thanks for the comments folks, I appreciate it. I'll be posting some more in the coming weeks as air show season is in full throttle here in Ontario so I'll be doing a lot of traveling and writing over the next couple of months.

Thanks Andrew, appreciate the comment! I think the closest venue for you would be Windsor to see her? The show is the week before Labour Day in September I believe.

muay_thai_dan - these shots were from CFB Bagotville who held their airshow this past weekend. The next scheduled airshows here in southern Ontario include St. Thomas this weekend and CFB Trenton on July 4-5. The CF-18 will be there along with Hawk One (an F-86 Sabre painted in Golden Hawks colours) and a Golden Centennaires Tutor (specially painted Snowbird) along with other performers as well. There is then a very long hiadus here in Ontario until the Labour Day weekend in September, with Brantford having their show the Wednesday before the weekend and then the CNE show for the entire weekend. Toronto will have the Raptor, Blue Angels, and a whole bunch of other aircraft as well, but it stinks for shooting due to backlit conditions.
