You have to buy 3 of a card to get maximum rebate.
Buy 1 card, get $15 back. Buy 2 cards, get $40 back. Buy 3 cards, get $80 back.

Adarama via Amazon seems to have a lower starting price. ie; Extreme III 30MB/sec 8gb SDHC is $58.00 vs $68.95 from Abe's

58x3=174-90=84/3=$28ea
68.95x3=206.85-90=116.85/3=$38.95ea

Free shipping and no tax from Amazon either! :D

I'm in for 3. That puts me at 22gb of CF storage. I think I might have enough now.

Guess I'd better not upgrade to a body that takes SD cards...

True, I was looking at what I was in the market for as I am pretty good on CF cards for now.

Abes, works out to $27.32 a card- http://www.abesofmaine.com/item=SDCF8GBXIII~item.htm (external link)

Adorama, works out to $27.72 a card-
http://www.adorama.com …tml?searchinfo=sandisk+cf (external link)

You save $1.20 at Abes on the CF cards.

There now is an issue there at that site, with member writing QUOTE/ Just got a call from Abe's of Maine.

They are going to cancel all the orders and going to send only one card per customer.
They say it is for promotion only and they will not be able to give more than 1 card per customer!
This obviously is not in line with their advertisement: Buy 3 get this much rebate....

So it's not the deal it started out with.

Obviously people are very confused then, my guess is that they are thinking that is how much they pay before they get the Sandisk rebate, instead of the fact that you pay a higher price and get the rebate later which brings the price down to what you see. That is the only reason Abes would cancel, the rebate is not really theirs, it is Sandisk's.

It was probably supposed to be a loss leader. Abe's held this sale hoping they would draw in folks who would purchase more than just memory cards. They obviously didn't and can't afford to eat the cost of the cards - I'm guessing it's too close to their cost. And, yes, the rebate is paid for by Sandisk.

I hope Abe's is giving people a choice on whether or not to go ahead with a much smaller purchase instead of just hoping they don't complain.
