This image was created from two exposures (one for water and one for sky). Not HDR and I did manual blending in PS.

Trying to achieve the simplicity.

It looks like they are a tiny bit misaligned, there's some prominent double imaging near the horizon.

Good catch Perry. The two didn't match perfectly (even with the tripod) and I should have done the auto-align layers in the PS.

Here is the fixed version (I hope).

Here is one more for the 10 stops. Hope you are not getting bored.

I really like the comp on this one, fantastic foreground features...cloud movement as well.

when I see those close up head shots are those heavily crop? or at least crop to get it that tight?

Closeup headshots for me are never cropped, they're what I like to call, "135L-ed".

I can assure you this is not cropped. As Perry put it, it has been "135L-ed".

How do you like it compared to the 5D? I constantly toy with the idea of switching to the 1DII/N from the 5D but I have never used one.

Unfortunately I don't have it yet but it should be here by wed/thurs so I will let you know. I've never as much as held a 1D body so this should be interesting.

One from today for the photo a day blog. It's hard figuring out things to take pictures of. It's also bad because I spent some more cash on lighting stuff, and I'm looking at adding a another flash.
