Ahh but my lensbaby has paid for itself several times over.

Unless the publisher changes their mind (which does happen) this book will be for sale in July in the US. The cover is a photo I took with the lensbaby 3G.

I've also sold other lensbaby images that are now on book covers in Canada, UK and the Netherlands. So I don't think the lensbaby is an overprice crap. Just my opinion though :D ;)

That is where those photo(s) belong - on the cover of a book. I'm glad I kept scrolling and saw your follow-up post. I'm sending my order in tomorrow (composer, double glass optic, macro/wide lens).

Can all of the lens baby models be used to create the miniaturization effect? I'm thinking of picking one up to goof around with, and would prefer the cheapest one that can still produce decent results. I have a crop body XS and was wondering if it would work well with any of the LB lenses. I know that I'll probably only use it a couple of times and probably stash it away, but am interested in playing with one nonetheless. Some of the miniaturization T/S shots I've seen on Flickr and elsewhere are really slick. Some portraits also look pretty cool. I have to say though that the T/S images I've seen outside this thread do tend to look better. Not sure if it was due to the lens in use or not.

That really can only be achieved with a tilt shift lens, and the lensbaby is not that type of lens. I have seen it done a few times with the lensbaby but not too often

Thanks to this thread I've got a Composer, double optic, single optic, and macro kit on the way. Have to try out the macro kit, but I have a feeling I'll end up getting the wide angle/macro *lens. This can truly allow me to get endlessly creative :). Thanks to everyone who has posted thus far!

Depending on your scene, its actually pretty easy to do with the lensbaby.

Really? I just haven't seen too many so I assumed it was hard to achieve with the lensbaby

I thought the above was a pretty good example. It's just on the previous page of this thread.

Yes, I saw that one :) and it's a good example. What I meant was that I didn't see it done very often.

After never really getting a good shot out of my Original Lensbaby, I bought a Composer today and I'm already happy I did. Especially as the Macro set I bought for the original is compatible with the composer.

I just got my Lensbaby Muse in tonight with the Accessory kit and just had to snap a quick shot of my pencil cup on my desk. I can't wait to get to play with this lens this weekend and try to dial it in. It should be fun!

Here is one using the macro kit on my Lensbaby muse. I love how I could actually focus on the reflection on the eye! There is a learning curve on this but I am willing to work on it!
