I just picked up that 200 2.8L last week, used, on Craigslist for $500! Unreal value in this little sweetheart....(I say little compard to my 70-200 2.8)!

Excellent lens, tack-sharp, and perfect for street candids and the baseball park/football field.

If I were you, I'd give it another month or two. Rumormill talks about an extensive lineup (update/upgrade) to the Canon glass. The 5D2 (and soon to be 1DmkIV) have hit the Rez limits of even the best L glass. BUT, that IS what I would spend MY money on Glass, glass, and maybe even that 85L/1.2 (I am lusting as well and if I had an extra 2k, I'd have it today)
