I have been trying to start my photography business on the side to earn some extra income. I am not too sure as far as what I should be charging for shoots- I could use some good advise.

I shoot mainly portraits and modeling photos.

So here are some of my questions, xD

- Should I charge just a flate rate fee, or hourly? And if so, what is a good starting rate ?

- They will receive the best finalized images on a CD. Should I print some of them out, and charge extra? If so, what is a good rate?

- As far as traveling expenses go, should I also charge for that?

If anyone has any good tips on how I should go about charging my clients and any other helpful tips, please let me know! :)

I have no real idea about this stuff, but how much is it worth to you? Remember you are going to be the one taking the time to do all of this. But umm if you go to the business section on this forum you'll find all your answers! =) or some xD
