I haven't, but I know a lot of people have good things to say about Lynda.com.

If you look at the bottom of this page you will see threads with similar titles that may give you some good info!

Lynda.com has awesome tutorials. They go at a slow speed and are very easy to follow along with especially if you're a beginner. I'm going through their Adobe Flash tutorials right now.

I've had a 31 day free account when purchasing PSCS4.
Waited for a holiday before activating & watched 5 courses and some bits in that period :)
Doesn't leave you much room to ingest all, but I'm fairly familiar with the software, so it was do-able.
It's nice, but sometimes I'd prefer the movies to be fewer and longer instead of many short ones: Easier to skip a bit and less "where we last left off".

Recommended.

I'd look at it this way -- someone like Lynda provides a good, comprehensive set of tutorials that put together is kind of like working through a big book on Photoshop techniques and tutorials.

At some point you begin to wonder about specific things and, after searching Help, doing a google search on "photoshop tutorial sharpening", for instance, can offer a broad variety of stuff, more than you can absorb, much of it free, some of it less-than-helpful.

Everyone has to be right on this forum I guess.....
I will explain further since what I said wasn't up to POTN standards.

I have watched videos from Lynda and have learned from them and enjoyed them. They do teach you some fundamentals but every single instructor teaches you there way of doing what they do best. That is great, however, the fundamentals can be learned anywhere and some people (for free) may even have a better way to do something that someone from Lynda did. Also on top of that the very same instructors all have there own videos floating out there (on youtube as well) that share very powerful stuff that they themselves put out for free.
Al I meant to say was that, I have used them, I like them, but I am not where I am in my skill level because of them. I mainly gained some fundamental by there videos due to me being new to Photoshop. Nothing, though, that I could not have found else where.

So I would say, if you have the money and are new to Photoshop go for it. If you have the basics down and want to learn something specific, (like masking something, or text effects ) you will find a wealth of free step-by-step how to on the web.

Al, I hope you didn't get the impression that somehow I disagreed with you, because I actually do agree with you, and was trying to say pretty much what you just said:).

If you go to http://lynda.com/deke (external link) you can sign up for a 7 day free trial. Saw it advertised at the end of a Deke Mcleland (however you spell it) masking video.
