Congrats! I think you'll like it! I came to the same conclusions as well. The way I see it, the next 70-200 to be released will be the f2.8 IS version, and it will be at least $2k after their done with it. The f4 IS version was just updated recently (4-stop IS, weather sealing, ect) and is a steal for around $1k USD.

Thanks mate, don't think that I will be able to check out the lens tomorrow as decided; being month end and have to review monthly targets set at work.

I gotta bust out the f4IS more often, I get stuck in my primes for weeks on end....Seeing all the great captures on this particular page reminds me of the amazing glass just sitting in my bag
