QUOTED IMAGE

Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark II (external link) Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/2000) Aperture: f/2.8 Focal Length: 75 mm ISO Speed: 200
580 EX II bare left and right as rim light and 580 EX II on portable beauty dish all triggered with PW Flex and MINI on ETTL

Just finished shooting and editing this one today.

Beautiful shot. Only nit is the shadow of her nose keeps distracting me. Could easily be fixed tho.

That was bothering me to when I was doing the PP. I was afraid that if I totally removed it it might look unnatural. I could try and test though.

Hi all. Lot of great pictures in this thread :-)

This isn't my favorite "off camera flash shot", but it's my most recent (taken like 30 minutes ago ). Candid shot of my mom using a 40D, 17-40 f/L lens, and 430 EXII flash.

she was reading the paper and I called to her. How should the flash be set? I had it pointed up and bouncing off the ceiling.

What a fantastic thread! I stepped away from POTN about a year ago when I stopped doing some photography due to lack of time, but I just came back to research what types of off camera lighting I'll need since I'm picking photography back up again. I started reading this thread yesterday afternoon, and am still only halfway through. so I figure I'll post my question now, and by the time I get finished reading, maybe I'll have my answer! :)

I have NO OCL or attachments etc. All I have is a 430. I'm planning on purchasing a 580. Can someone tell me what I'll need to get my set up? as far down to the cords and attachments. I'm brand new to this! I've been reading on the Pocket Wizard Multimax Transceiver. What's your experience with this piece? What will I need to go along with it, if this is the purchase I make?

I can't wait to start posting my OCL photos!

Hi for my experience I have 3 580 EX II and a set a Pocketwizard to match 3 flex tt5 and mini tt1. I dont have a cord as you can attached this trigger via the built in hotshoe and what's dreat about it is it can shoot ETTL. Downside is a bit pricey.
