Thanks for the replies.

These were taken on a barrier island off the Alaska North Slope, in the Beaufort Sea.

I didn't notice the polar bear at first either, but then the wind must have shifted, as she and several other bears popped up into view.

This is the sow in the bone pile. Only the females are collared...

Looks like the bears had some good pickin's! lol

Nice shots. I've never seen a whale skeleton and can only image how large they are. The bear in the first image provides good scale of reference to their size.
