Settings was Manual or AP (depends on photo), 1/100-1/160, f/4, ISO 400-800 shot with a 1DII and a 24-70 f/2.8

Yes, flash was used for these shots (and most in the Flickr set) and it was on camera (forgot the cord)

the third is the one that stands out to me. nice balance of flash and ambient and great job conveying motion in the pan. the first two seem too flashed for my taste.

Lance definently stands out in the Yellow and Black jersey., kind of like a large bumble bee. Pretty easy to spot over the dumb blue on light blue Astanna one he wore at the Giro. I nevr got a clear shot of that guy. But you nailed him in Oslo, great job!

Yes the third is my pick as well.

I can agree that the third one is the best of these, in my eyes it shows the speed of Armstrong going round the corner (90 degrees)
