Does any one use a 3rd party battery for the 1D MKII?

If so, which one and what has been your experience?

I want another one just for back up. At B&H the Canon is $120 ish, the 3rd party one (forget the name, not SterlingTek) is $30 ish, $38? Huge difference!

I use a Lenmar brand battery (DMCE3) in addition to the Canon. I've been using it for years interchangeably with the Canon. It works as well as the Canon (maybe better). I really pay no attention to which battery is in the camera. I have no idea what it costs.

Uniross seem pretty reasonable,£20 each. Not sure why people rave about Canons own, as they are not a battery firm?

I bought a Delkin battery when I bought my 1DM2n, something bent in the locking mechanism and it won't stay locked in place. My Canon batteries haven't had that problem.

I use the Lenmars as well, in my 1DII and 1DsII. They work as well as or better than the Canon batteries.

Thanks everybody. It was Lenmar that B&H had. I will get one of those.
