It's not that prices are getting higher, but the dollar is getting weaker.

It might not be canon who is raising prices, but the stores because of the low supply.

Those are imported prices. These price increases are pretty depressing.

Looking at the prices now.....I'm just so glad I bought at the right time. And I just can't believe that there would be a price increase in a span of 2 weeks.

I regret returning my 24-70L that i got for $1110 from B&H earlier this year. I should have just kept it.

Adorama refurbished prices have increased drastically also.

Refurbs come in white boxes straight from canon specifically for refurbs. They contain all lens caps, hoods, bags, manuals that you get when buying new. They do show some signs of mild wear and have a rear dot on the rear of the lens mount marking it as refurbished. Definitely worth getting but i don't know about the current prices.

buy lens online. 'Warranty repair' on shipping docs. Sorted. That's illegal though :)

I've bought several refurbs from Adorama and been happy with them. The ones I got looked like new.

Here's the current inventory they have....

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.
