Now I am just that much farther away from getting the new lens. On the up side, however, because of the price increase, I was able to sell my 28mm 1.8 for the same price I bought if for six months ago. http://www.flickr.com/photos/staxnet/

What really sucks is that the prices go up so fast, yet they will take an eternity to go down even a few dollars. Just not fair. -Mark-

Looked at it today and it had gone up $99. I called B&H to see if they would sell it for the old price, but they wouldn't budge. Made a call to Adorama and after talking to a Manager, they sold it to me for the lower price.

I am seriously considering it now...does it come with the box/bag/and such? I got a refurbished copy of the 24-105L from Adorama earlier this year. It came in a Canon box, but not the original product box. It included everything else though (bag, papers, hood). The condition of the lens was perfect, no blemishes whatsoever. I've brought it along as my only lens on 3 lengthy trips to foreign countries, and the lens always worked like a charm. I am always impressed with the quality of images it produces, even when I pixel peep. I would say it's as good as new, since Canon puts refurbed products through an inspection process before making it available for sale again. Based on my experience, I wouldn't mind buying my next lens refurbed by Canon from Adorama again, if available. XTI | G10 | 24-105L | 30 1.4 | 85 1.8 | 430EX II

So would that mean they spend the time to calibrate the lens and make it sharp as a tack? If so Im sold!!!
