They now graph average Canadian and US prices over the last 1.5 years. Just pick a lens or body.

Perhaps we can lobby this congress for a Cash For Clunkers lens program?

Could trade in some old junk for some nice, shiny lenses with red rings!!!

C'mon guys - if you could, do it in time for Christmas.....

This stinks. I just sold some lenses to fund the purchase of a 35mm L. Now I am just that much farther away from getting the new lens. On the up side, however, because of the price increase, I was able to sell my 28mm 1.8 for the same price I bought if for six months ago.

Thats it, I'm going on strike. No more lenses for me. What really sucks is that the prices go up so fast, yet they will take an eternity to go down even a few dollars. Just not fair.

I have been eying a 100-400L for several days and was going to pull the trigger on it Monday. Looked at it today and it had gone up $99. I called B&H to see if they would sell it for the old price, but they wouldn't budge. Made a call to Adorama and after talking to a Manager, they sold it to me for the lower price.

Seemed everyone changed their prices overnight - including Ebay!

How is the quality of a refurb from adorama... I am seriously considering it now...does it come with the box/bag/and such?

I got a refurbished copy of the 24-105L from Adorama earlier this year. It came in a Canon box, but not the original product box. It included everything else though (bag, papers, hood). The condition of the lens was perfect, no blemishes whatsoever. I've brought it along as my only lens on 3 lengthy trips to foreign countries, and the lens always worked like a charm. I am always impressed with the quality of images it produces, even when I pixel peep. I would say it's as good as new, since Canon puts refurbed products through an inspection process before making it available for sale again. Based on my experience, I wouldn't mind buying my next lens refurbed by Canon from Adorama again, if available.

So would that mean they spend the time to calibrate the lens and make it sharp as a tack? If so Im sold!!!
