What's better than opening a new 200L F2 box?

Then I guess you don't want to be peeping through your older lenses. You'd be shocked at the amount of crap that ends up in there. I suggest not doing this, as it will only lead to madness...

Can't be worse than what's inside the crevices of my keyboard.
I swear I can cook up a meal or two with the crap in there...;)

Yes. BH put the original 200L box in another box with bubble wrap. Where did you order yours from?

Dell. It came overnight express without a mark on it, but still....

I ordered mine from Canoga Camera. I had to ask them to double box it, which they did. But honestly, the lens is very well protected even without it.

Oh I know what your saying, if dust collects in there while the lens is in my possesion that's fine. IMO though a brand new 5k lens should be dust/debree free. Some tolerate it and some don't. I'm sure after a few months a spec of dust will find it's way in there.

I here yah, I'd feel better if it was double boxed. Can't hurt having that extra protection.

I totally agree, Dennis. Especially on such an expensive lens. If you're buying some $300 "over the counter" lens, then okay, maybe. But something like this, it would bug me also.

I once had a spec of dust in a 50 1.8. I threw it away and bought another one...;)

Hmm, title like that I was expecting something to do with Megan Fox and swim wear.

I stand corrected, that is better.

Received only 1 copy wiht no reason to send back for more..! Great right out of the box.. My 800MM was more exciting to open then my 200 f/2..

Probably needed 2 people to do that ;).

I'm jealous.... i'm thinking whether to buy 70-200 and spend the cash on it... Hoping I won't regret it :/

Aww, see - I just toss the "bad ones" in a drawer. Three specs and they're out!

A few dust specs aren't the end of the world. But shavings and bugs qualify for a FAIL. :p
