I've been going back and forth on this but I am seriously considering exchanging mine... I have one spot on the monitor that is red/pink, and one that is green. They are next to each other combined cover the middle of the screen almost. The color uniformity is horrible compared to my cheap TN panel monitors at work. How does it work? Will they ship a new one (or refurb?) and once I receive it I just ship my old one to them? Has anyone had good luck with exchanging them in terms of the new one being better? Thanks.

OK so I took a picture of what I am seeing and darkened it using curves in photoshop to bring out the red/green tints that I am seeing. Definitely returning this one as the uniformity is just not right. When I calibrated my spyder2 showed way too much green, I wonder if that is from the green tint near the middle of the screen....

Yep, I'd send that back.

I'm on my third, and finally got one with no inverter buzz or uniformity issues. Both of the first two had dead pixels, the 3rd doesn't.

They overnight you the refurb, and then you put yours in their box with their label (fedex).

Really? I went through 6 with the buzz. Perfect in every way except the buzz. I got sick of dealing with replacing them so I settled and the one I have now.....has a buzz. Its not that loud, I have to really try to hear it and listen for it.

got mine this morning. everything seems fine after an hour or so of using it. no hot pixels, no weird color patterns. ill keep an eye out.

first impressions, its HUGE compared to my laptop 17inch screen. its darker and muuuch warmer than my laptop screen. my laptop had pretty consistent prints with mpixpro non corrected, so idk how to get them pretty even. the tilt, shift feature is great, vertical way for those taaallll pictures.

a couple questions, i set the monitor brightness setting to 0, but i have the nvidia control panel which has yet more brightness control, what do i do with that?

I think the 2209WA is about to be overshadowed by its new big brother, the Dell UltraSharp U2410 (external link). 24" IPS with 12 bit internal LUT.

From what I've read, speculation is it will hit the $750 USD price point, hundreds less than comparable NEC or Eizo and kicking the c**p out of the few popular monitors in the $500-750 USD price range.

You can't overshadow my 2209! My thread will be longer for quite some time... :p

i too dont think it will be overshadowed. while the U2410 looks like one hell of a deal for what your getting, its still going to be >500 in the price range. the 2209 was sub 300 which is unheard of for an IPS monitor.
