5D Mark II people are **** because of that video stuff, but then again im pondering if maybe it wont be added to the 5D Mark II as well in a firmware update...

It would definitely be another gesture from Canon showing that they're listening to their customers. Then again, who knows if it's as simple as a firmware upgrade. Thy could well have released the mark II knowing it would never be capable of shooting 24/25fps, but also knowing that they'd still get the glory of the first full-HD DSLR which would sell by the barrel whilst there was no alternative.

I'm feeling pretty glad I never went for the 5DII at the moment if this PR is an indication of things to come.

-edit-

And as for weather sealing, From the leaked press release this thing is supposedly sealed like a 1D-series...

Hmm, would be fab but if those pics are real (who knows), then it would be difficult given the dial on the top? 1 Series don't have that.

Or early morning! Make it like Christmas. Go to bed really early; wake up at 11:55pm; turn PC on; browse POTN, Canon press release, dpreview, other photography forums/sites, etc.; be really happy :D or be really disappointed ... and maybe skip work to spend the day arguing about why it's a good/bad camera.

There are already plenty of cheap DSLRs for poor students that do 99% of what the pricier models do.

Poor students who don't need it are not going to buy it anyway. Poor students who feel they need it should set their priorities straight (i.e. make money first).
