Hi guys, I will be down in Sydney in a couple of weeks and am really keen on renting the Sigma 50 1.4. Does anyone know where I could rent this lens from?

Cheers

From the looks of it and the price they charge per day, you might as well buy one as it would be cheaper then renting it for 4 to 5 days. Here is a thread asking the same question about lens rentals in Sydney. https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=171467

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I've used Kayell when renting before but they only carry Canon lenses (or Nikon)

Thankyou guys.. the links are great. I have decided that I now want to purchase the Sigma 50mm 1.4 when i'm down in Sydney in 3 weeks just wondering if anyone knows a shop of where I can try before I buy. As I am very aware of the problems that can be associated with various copies of this lens

I was going to say d-d photographics, but they don't sell Sigmas any more by the looks of things.

Your best bet would be a Teds, or Pentax I guess...Possibly even JB.

right, but did you check their prices?
as far as I know, no rental company does sigma, so purchase is your only option.
