I didnt have my camera with me at work and honestly it has been far to long since I have actually been able to get out and take some shots(zippo for the season :( )

anyway I used a P&S we have at work because I was curious what type of spider this is. I was talking with someone and they said they thought it was a HOBO Spider but the pics I saw online didnt convince me.

Pic 1: this is the position they are usually seen in (sorta like a squid when it kicks its tenticles out to swim)

This is a pic of another spider but I do think it is the same species but this is what it looks like when it isnt in the above position.

Sorry about the quality of the images. I am just concerned that if these are indeed HOBO spiders because they are all over the place this year and from what I understand they are pretty poisonous too.

TIA

This looks like Genus Tetragnatha - Long Jawed Orb Weaver to me. They are pretty harmless.
