I just moved up from a 40D to a 5DII and haven't put it through its paces yet, but so far for indoor candid photography, I don't like how wide the FOV is on my 50mm prime, or rather how close I need to be to the subject to properly frame it. Clearly I have to rethink my 50mm f/1.2L plans as a general purpose walkaround lens; not saying it won't work, I just have to give it some thought. Gear: 5D Mark II; 24-105 f/4L IS, Sigma 50mm f/1.4, 70-200 f/4L IS, 85mm f/1.8, 100mm f/2.0, Sigma 15mm f/2.8 fisheye. Coming soon: 7D, 2nd Sigma 50mm f/1.4. Outgoing & for sale: 24-70 f/2.8L.
