I love my Sigma 30mm but the 35L now has dual purpose since with my crop and FF.

Here's a Hannya mask.

I can shoot the entire wedding with just 24-70L on full frame, or say one 24-70 and one 50mm 1.4 both on full frame ;)

But I can sometimes get the shot in a dark room (available) that you can't get with the zoom. ;) two stops is a lot of light.

And it'l be sharper. :)

I once shot a wedding and took 1400 shots with the 35L. The remaining 200 shots were taken with the 85L. I'm willing to bet I could have shot the entire wedding (besides the ceremony) with just the 35L.

I'd love to see some samples. I'm intrigued to see the fov.

Agree.

Here are just a couple of mine. I've only shot maybe 6 or 7 weddings in the past 10 years and they have all been old clients or good friends. And the last wedding I shot I shot 80% with the 35L and the other 20% split between the 24L and the 85L.

Thanks guys. The 35L is a wonderful piece of glass. I'm looking to grab a 24L though for some interesting pj/wider work.

I'm really liking that second one! Thanks for the examples. How's it compare to the 35L optically? Should I spring for the 24L mkII?
