If it is, I think it needs something else added to the PP to make it work. As they are they just look like a bad color cast. Other than that I think it was a good session!

Sep 09, 2009 13:15 | #4 i usually shoot warm and i wanted to try cooling this set. i think they're at 4100k. that seemed to be about the right temp without cooling the skin tones too much. i'm not sure how else to process them but i'll try some things out! thanks for the crit!

I am really into cross processing right now. That leaves a color cast as well. But it usually means contrast is also boosted. Try just to bring up the black point and brign down the white point... in other words do NOT do it with the contrast slider. Another thought is to make the color cast just a tiny bit stronger. But use a low opacity eraser to lighten the cast on the skin. I would start with a 50% brush and see if it needs to be stronger or weaker of a bruch.

Sep 10, 2009 11:30 | #14 here's another edit of #7 per Mark1's suggestions. i raised the black point a little and lower the white point not as much. Then i added 2 Photo Filter adjustment layers... one for warming and cooling. I used the cool one over the enter scene and painted out the skin areas. With the warm layer i inverted the mask and only painted on the skin tones. The result is less contrasty in overall values but a little more contrasty as far color tones go.
