Hypothetical:
Lets say you have a 70-200F4 and were looking to upgrade. Would you rather have F4 IS or 2.8??

Looking at the other lenses in your kit, I'd keep the 70-200 and use that money to upgrade the other lenses. David (aka BigBlueDodge)

Notice that I said "significant" upgrade. Are the 70-200 f/4.0 IS or 70-200 f/2.8 better than the 70-200 f/4.0... sure. But is the difference night and day? No. In my opinion, his money is better spent on other parts of his kit. David (aka BigBlueDodge)

That's your opinion, unless of course you feel you opinion applies to everyone. Tell that to the person trying to stop motion why IS will be night and day better for him. David (aka BigBlueDodge)

But if it were me and I was in your shoes a few months back, I would save more and get the 2.8 IS. Fujifilm: X-Pro3, X100V, X-T10, 16mm f2.8, 23mm f2, 27mm 2.8, 35mm 1.4, 50mm f2

IMO the f4 IS has a 3-stop advantage over the f2.8. it is clearly the better lens in low light. http://instagram.com/edraderphotography/

This pic is at 75mm f2.8 and his face is in focus, her's isn't. You can't tell on a downsized web image but this is not printable at 8 x 10. You can't always give away DOF for shutter speed.
