Can they be used at the same time? I'm using the 17-40 and don't want any vignetting. I've been looking at Lee's holder but can it be used with let's say a B+W screw in ND filter?

I just found some photos on Flickr which have been taken with this exact setup so apparently it is doable. Some vignetting is visible at 16mm though but nothing that can't be corrected.

Edit: Example on Flickr (external link)

Doesn't anyone have any info regarding this? Again, is it possible to mount place a Lee filter holder on top of a B+W 110 filter?

If your ND filter has front threads, sure, you can attach the adapter ring to that and then attach the holder. However, it could be tricky if you need to pre-focus and then attach the ND filter. Depending on the available light, threading on a 10-stop ND and then adding the holder afterwards could be a PITA, especially if you accidentally change the focus after all of that. Vignetting can also be an issue, depending on your crop factor and focal length. But to answer your question, yes.

Thanks argyle. I have a 17-40 on FF so I suppose I might end up with some vignetting. Sure sounds like a PITA though.

I hope the B+W 110 filter has front threads..

Yes, it will be a PITA and there will be serious vignetting.

I think the B+W 110 filter has front threads which is good. However, I'm still worried about the vignetting. Has anyone tried the Lee push-on holder?
