SanDisk just released a new 90 mbps CF card... correct me if I'm wrong, but did they not work with Canon to introduce a faster speed card a few years ago for the Mark III? Somewhere I heard a Canon rep saying this on a YouTube video.

Yet again this is sprouted on the internet.

Can you say, Digic 4???

DiGiC 4 (IV) is actually a misnomer. Internally, Canon refers to it as DiGiC 3+1 (III + I) or occasionally, as DiGiC 5 - 1 (V - I).
Yes, confusing, but that's just the way it is! :p

Yeah, I guess that has to do with that 4 (shi) means death in Japanese.

Maybe the new camera will be the Canon EOS 1D Mark III+

Here's one for y'all - go to http://www.mifsuds.com/usedpriceindex.htm (external link) and click on "Canon Digital & AF" and see what they say regarding used 1DIII's

"EOS 1DMKIII Body Boxed £1999 Each Overstocked To Clear"

Signs and portents or just anticipation?

the 1ds is a 21 mp camera that actually competes with the d3x (or whatever it's called). nikon does not have a camera that competes with the 1d mark III which i think, after almost two years of use, is still the best all-around camera made.

ed rader

Please tell me you're not basing that on the fact the Mk III is APS-H, and the D3 is FF?

1Q 2010.

I still think you're right - I'm guessing that people are getting some £££ back on their 1DIII's before the market gets flooded?

If I was to guess - it won't be a camera. It might be audio/visual related - or it may be software. Or not!

Who knows?!
