ok I am disappointed by canon, they have a number cameras that can make HD video and they don't even offer this as a download.

gee talk about cheap.

and what with this ipod/iphone stuff, there are more portable media players out there than these two.

but the camera makes me want to say

I WANT ONE :)

Sorry, your post has me confused a bit here. What are you reffering to in regards to the "download"......what do you want to download? That ipod/iphone bit isn't making much sense either......Mind elaborating?

I don't understand the difference between 24 and 30 fps video. I would think that the more frames per second the smoother the video. All the video I've seen shot at 24 seems there are times during the video where it kinda stops or pauses just for maybe half a second or so. Video shot at 30fps I don't see this.

24P doesn't actually play correctly on 60Hz computer screens. It's why TV manufacturers have now come out with 120Hz and 240Hz HD panels.

Anyways, maybe what you're seeing is the result of the pulldown

looks like an amazing camera. but not very actractive looking. some video's around some guy is talking about they take the looks of the camera into consideration. i find it looks more like the old 10D maybe 20D look. the flash area where the logo is just looks off.. the lines arent very nice looking. its really to bad the 5DII didnt have this bloody amazing AF and exporsure system and possibly a couple processors to make it a hair faster..

but i have a question? in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJczKu2j-UQ (external link) about 7/8th's through it. there is a new lens showen there. looks like a prime with IS?

anyone know what that lens is?

thanks,

Joel
