The resale value of my non-IS just went down and I really don't need two 100mm macros either.

I prefer Pachelbels lesser known work, Canon in L and the 99 cent menu club.

My first legit camera is a Canon AE-1 Program, given to me as a birthday present from my best friend. And so my obsession begins...

Hokay, I only have a couple of quick photos & 1:1 crops from this lens as I really haven't had time to do any proper shots (so go easy!)

lol!

I'm surprised that there are so few of these around in the wild (as it were). Our local emporium of Canon goodness only got one in. And boy am I glad I'd reserved it!

Damn you're a lucky SOB! :)

Do you have or are you planning to type up a quick review on this baby for the rest of us?

Thanks :D But it's actually SWMBO's so not technically mine! ;)

Re. a review, yes, but it's really more of a "continuous" assessment thread rather than a proper review here:-

Do you have any extenders to use love to see what 1.4x is like.

Here is one shot with a 2x extender - I don't have a 1.4 yet! Slightly OOF as the tripod was standing on a table which I was also standing on! *cough* Don't tell the missus...!
