Holy trinity for 7d?

The M9 is full frame and with all the statements he made about the machine gun approach I doubt he would be using a DSLR.

Ive got no trinity for it but im gonna use my newly acquired 100-300 f/4!! Supposedly both fast and super sharp, cant wait enough for them both!

Edit my prime trinity is 24, 50, 85

that was a different time. machine gunning back then probably meant shooting more than 24 frames in a day.

to capture the decisive moment HCB might be hammering 10 fps or shooting video.

i know ansel adams would be a lens testing, pixel peeping measurbator and a monster with photoshop .

For me, if I had the 7D (which will happen soon)
the zoom/prime trinity is:
The 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5
100mm f/2.8
100-400 f/4.5-5.6L

Yep, 10-22, 17-55, 70-200 f/4 IS (and a 1.4x TC!). It's really too bad I don't have any of those lenses. Hmm, what is that like $5000 worth of gear with the 7D included? I have a loooong way to go.

tokina 11-16/2.8; sigma 30/1.4, 85/1.8

I am with ed and 10-22, 17-55 IS & 70-200L f4 IS are my trinity unless I have to go for f1.4.

On my 40D my walkaround kit is the 17-55 and 85 1.8. I'm adding the 100IS so, yes this will be my small kit for my 7D

My big kit will be the 10-22, 17-55, 70-200 f4IS, 100IS and 400 f5.6

The trinity is probably something more like:

14 2.8II, 24 1.4II, 85 1.2II

All over the M9, painting its shiny parts black, and making disparaging remarks about white lenses, no doubt. . .

At least for zooms: 11-16 f2.8 / 17-55 f2.8 IS / 70-200 f2.8 IS.
