I'll play!

Shot on the Western shores of Oahu, the sky is a combination of both the Sun setting and a wild brush fire's smoke heading off to sea. I waited for about 20 minutes for the boat to arrive at center of the setting sun. It doesn't follow traditional rules of composition, but I think it works for this shot.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I also used a B+W Circular Polarizer, IIRC.

Out of 4000+ landscapes shot this year alone, this is unlikely to be the best. However, it is a favorite because of the effort required to get it. We drove 75 miles or so out of our way, then hired a Jeep and driver to take us the last 6 miles (more than an hour) on the roughest trail I've been on. But, it's a classic scene from Colorado, the Crystal Mill.

Eeek..... I never did care much for landscapes.... mainly because when it comes to them... I am no good..LOL But, I have been trying hard lately to figure it out ;)
