Anyone care to venture a guess at Canon's announcement Sept 29?
Could it be the long awaited 1D m4?

Looking into what the people, who are mentioned in the invitation, at Canon Sweden work with, it turns out to be office equipment.

Perhaps a lead towards that it's something else than a camera?

I don't think I'll drop my 1D Mark IV cash on a photocopier. :D

imagine if they entered the graphing calculator market and intergreted a 5 megapixel camera in......*drooling* engineering would never be the same again.

They sure are touting it as something huge... change the world talk is pretty serious.

My prediction? I am thinking something along the lines of the Espresso book machine, which already is poised to change the world: http://www.ondemandbooks.com/home.htm (external link)

The canon is most likely their SED tv range. They said it would kill plasma/lcd but then got embroiled in a patent dispute of some sort.

That's a definite possibility... Sounds more realistic, then a 1D IV because, well... that isn't "world changing" (or w\e Canon said the announcement will be)

Ditto here. Is it earlier or later there(time zone)?
