My son decided he wanted to play soccer this year. Here are some pics of game one. First one is my son playing Goalie. The sun very harsh. Noon time and not a cloud in the sky.

Welcome to the world of shooting soccer games. #2 and #3 are pretty good. You captured action, the ball and their eyes. All of which help make a good soccer shot.

Very difficult to shoot kids playing footy. They tend to bunch up and its not easy getting faces, but when you do you can see the effort and concentration on their faces. I think you've done very well with these. Second one is a gem.
If I could suggest something, I'd say get down as low as you can get when you're shooting, either with a stool or on you're knees then the lighting and angle of faces will give the impression you're in amongst the action.
