I just aquired and 1dsMKII with 17k shutter acuations and I just noticed what I have in the photo here. It does not happen with every shot but seems to be with a light background only and not all the time.

All ways in the same spot?

Something set wrong?

Bad shutter?

Seems to focus fast and lock and there is no shutter lag or issues..

Unfortunately that is a defective shutter - mine did the same but thankfully CPS replaced it FOC. (Thankyou Canon).

Isn't that called "shutter bounce?" I've read that it happens at high shutter speeds and is the first sign of a shutter going bad. I'm starting to worry about my Mk II, quite a few of these seem to die pretty young.
