I took a few from Treasure Island and Yerba Buena this past Saturday on my way to the city. Almost got attacked by a pack of raccoons, lol. My daughter and I ran into the car leaving our cameras out of fear, hahaha. I shot the second one while in the car via remote:

Beautiful shots!

Watch out for those raccoons, they can act pretty tough in a group.

Gotta wonder how they made their way onto the island?

the raccoons walked across the bridge! nah, they probably swam or something.

I really like both of those. Were you shooting at sunset for the first one? I like the color. I'm going to have to try and find that spot for the 2nd one, i wanna try that. on my first attempt at night photography i took a pano of the sf skyline from treasure island and it came out pretty good but i wasn't completely satisfied. it's been a couple of months now and i'm going to try for round 2 pretty soon.

i'd also be interested to know what lens and shutter speed you used. thanks!

^^+1 on the shutter speed. I've been wanting to go out there at night to give this a shot. Great shots!

You have guts taking that pic of the bridge from at top. I've been in that same spot myself. There's not much walking room between you and the cars. Nice shot.

Thanks guys. The raccoons looked like they were on 'roids, big buggers. At first when we turned around, all we saw were 6 pairs of glowing eyes and silhouettes too big to be stray cats.

msmclman99: I should have shot from that spot during sunset and drove down to Treasure Island when it was darker. Have to do it in reverse next time. For that shot, I used a 24-105 at 105, f11 at about 30 seconds. As the sun sets, you will get different degrees of yellow and orange above the skyline, very beautiful.
Here's a few more with the Bay Bridge in it:

Stunning.

Out of curiosity (not that it much matters), what body was used?

I have a similar shot from Treasure Island. I have been meaning to go back when there is a nice sunset.

Hi Adam, I used a 5d classic. My 14 year old daughter who shot with me, shot with a 30d and her photos seem to look better. Her perspective is more interesting than mine. I'm a bit old school in my composition.

Abjam77: That's exactly the same but without the sunset.:)

Matt: Thanks for the kind words.

Wasn't the Bay Bridge shut down for a while? Looks like they made repairs pretty quick. I like the second night shot of the bridge.

Man, it must suck to live in such a photogenic city. I mean really, why would you even want to live there?!

I need to go back to SF, it's truely one of the greatest American cities, all time. Some of my best early photos are from a trip to SF.

Stunning work!
