Mate,,brilliant.. We lived in the Tibetan quarter of Chengdu China for three months in 2007.. A very colourful and vibrant part of town..

The project my wife was managing was geared towards the Tibetan communities in far western Sichuan.. We used to hang with the Tibetans from her office,,,,wonder, wonderful people..

We would have beer and pizza nights at our apartment some Friday nights with 10 or 12 Tibetans turning up,,,wonderful times, these people know how to party.. This wasn't strictly legal as Tibetans aren't allowed to mingle in groups over 4 or 5.. They are a fairly conservative bunch when it comes to politics but loosen them up and they would give "their" story ;)

Here are a few pics of those nights ---> http://www.pbase.com/jurgentreue/friends (external link)

I think think the boy in that picture was Uyghur. The shot was taken in Fujian province. I believe we were in a Hakkka area at the time, so he might have been Hakka.

A few more not-as-good shots.

abjam77 — nice work. I went to your website; you've got a great eye for composition.
