These are the first decent shots that I took of an Eagle.Of course it was an overcast day.I took these from the river bridge in my town.I have been seeing them along the river, but they were always a long way off.I think I'll hang out all day on the bridge and see if I can get lucky again:lol:.

On the old railroad bridge.

Really like the immature photo. Unusual wing position and lots of white feathers. Probably a 2 or 3 year old bird. Lewisburg can't be THAT far from Conowingo Dam in MD. You should visit the dam sometime in the next 2 months. Could be lots of eagles there.

Congratulations with getting some images of an Eagle. Considering the lighting conditions these turned out fine.

That last image is very unique - I like it. I see a number of people here complain about it being a cloudy day. Personally I prefer that over the bright sun where harsh contrast makes for difficult exposure.

Thanks everyone.I didn't get out today to try for more shots but I will soon.Bob,I agree about shooting in a bright sunny day.I like to shoot when it's partly cloudy so I can get some blue sky in the image.John, according to Google Earth I'm about 133 mi from Conowingo Dam.I live next to the west branch of the Susquehanna River.
