Fix a focusing screen and do a sensor cleaning? I sent my XS on Wednesday and they received it this morning. How long does it take (an estimate) for them to do this and ship it back?

Thanks!

Edit: I got this about 30 minutes ago.

Dear LISA :

We have received your equipment for evaluation and repair. Based on our initial examination, we will start the necessary repairs at no charge to you. You can expect the repair to be completed and returned back to you within approximately 7 business days* from the date shown above(10-9-09). There is no need to respond to this notice.

Please note that in the unlikely event that any additional internal damage is found due to liquid/water, sand, corrosion, battery leakage or impact (such as dropping the unit), a revised estimate will be sent for your authorization, since these conditions are specifically excluded from warranty coverage.

Thank you for purchasing Canon products and for allowing us this opportunity to serve you.

Best Regards,
Canon Factory Service Center

I think that time estimate is fairly accurate and not overly optimistic. My mirror replacement and cleaning on a 5D took about 2 weeks including shipping. Although I kept bugging them because i needed it for an important shoot.

I've sent it in, had it repaired, and shipped back out the same day. One day away from my hands. But it was a CPS rush service so I guess that might be it

I just sent in my 28-70 last week, says I will be able to pick it up within 10 business day
I got a call the next day and it's available for pick up :)
maybe it depends on how busy they are and the problem ur camera/lens are having
but they are very fast from my experience
