A few more RBE’s [Merops ornatus.]
It was very poor light this afternoon, raining intermittently and very overcast.
7D +400mm f/5.6 +Canon 1.4xTC

Does anyone here think they are over sharpened?

It appears to be little over sharpen the first one, but is beautiful !!!

Pins taped - yes, it's not bad AF (better than the 40D) if you set the 400mm f/5.6 to 8m rather than 3.5m. I found using the switch useful with the 40D as well. Also shifting the AF point to centre point accurate to be an advantage too.

It has been very poor light (dark/overcast) over the days that I have trialled the AF. I'll know more this weekend when it warm and sunny. I have a meet to attend on Sunday and will post more then.
