Were all those colors in the first pic lights shown into the water? Cool pics.

They have large spotlights that highlight both the Horseshoe and the American Falls... The lights change frequently, but the coverage of the Horseshoe Falls is not usually as nice as the light on the American Falls. Different angles--they just work better on the American Falls.
