I saw a sample shot for the S90 on Amazon, so I thought I'd imitate it with the G11.

Tell me this isn't a great camera! :)

ISO800, f4, 1/5s (scaled version was sharpened slightly)

Here's the full-res: http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/7996/img0193yu.jpg (external link) (I cropped it to 3000x2000)

The G11 macro images are very good.
Your link doesn't work with the ; at the end.

I wish my G10 looked that clean at ISO800!

I wasn't that impressed..... Until I realized it was iso-800 @ 1/5 second... now that's some low light and I am totally impressed.

Got handle one of the G11's today, prefer my G10 for now
and will wait for the G12 to come out...that was close!
seemed to have a hard time focusing, where my camera
did it much faster, could be the subject but...also the software
I have doesn't recognize the G11 files, I took some images
in the store with both cameras to do a comparison, too bad
I can view!

The bad? news is, the thread made me think more and more on the better iQ
and so, I ended up getting an S90 to compliment the G10, IF the G11 had the
same feel as the G10, it would have been the G11 for me, BUT, I'm really liking
the actual compact and excellent quality of the S90...A LOT ;)
So, again, thanks for the post...I think :)
