Ok, i finally got out to test the color combo today. I had a 3 hours walk around a park that felt like 5 minutes, here are a two shots, nothing special just demos really.

I called this one falling leaves, joining a photographic club has me thinking about titles anyway .... Shot with 5D and 17-40 with color Combo and a 2 stop reverse grad. Some small teaks to colour saturation, nothing major.

Right then a load from me from last Saturday morning. It was a bit of a slow start but turned out to be a great morning in the end, I was only on the beach for about an hour with this light so I tried to made the most of it!

These are all with a mix of a 3stop hard and a 3stop soft, but I could have doen with a 3stop reverse! :-P

Well it was already a daytime back lit shot, i was unfortunate with the tide crossing at the time of day so had to make do with what i could get. There isnt much work to the shot itself in terms of RAW adjustment, highlight contrast tweaked to bring more detail out in the cloud, most of the effect is generated by the digital filter- i applied a Nix single colour pattern gradient to the shot which gave a golden saturation to the colours. If you like i can post some shots showing its tranistion through post production.
I am quite pleased with it as i didnt think i would salvage anything from that trip.

A few more from me, I seem to have had a pretty productive weekend! I don't know what Flickr does to the images, but it really rips the colour out of the photos!!

Which Lee filters did you use for these shots Aaron? If they weren't posted in this thread I would've assumed that they were taken without any filters. I suppose that's the ideal scenario.

Yeah, if that's the case then I feel pretty accomplished :). Learning with the filters is an ongoing process and I like my results from this trip better than most previous attempts. I used a .6 soft gnd.

Did you, by chance, take any shots with and with out the colour combo?

I have to agree, I like the full autumn colour version, a nice bit of colour conversion.

50d, Canon 10-22mm @ 22mm, Singh Ray 3 stop reverse Grd. I saturated the colors a bit to give some pop.
